We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper to join the dynamic team at Creole Financial Partners in New Orleans, LA. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of our clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and financial health.

Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all journal entries are accurate and complete.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly payroll reports and ensure compliance with Louisiana labor laws.
- Manage the company's inventory and fixed asset registers, conducting periodic audits.
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal staff regarding financial inquiries and status updates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficient in QuickBooks Online or Xero with a strong understanding of double-entry accounting.
- Excellent knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and tax regulations.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookups.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong ethical standards and attention to detail.
