Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Prepare monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and ensure timely vendor/client payments
- Process payroll and administer employee benefits with precision
- Implement and optimize accounting software systems for enhanced efficiency
- Assist with audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping experience with multi-entity portfolios
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables)
- Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP, payroll tax regulations, and Louisiana state requirements
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to identify discrepancies and implement solutions
- Strong communication skills for clear financial reporting and stakeholder interactions
- Proven ability to manage confidential financial data with discretion and integrity
