Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile complex general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and bank reconciliations
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Oversee sales tax filings and provide tax preparation support
- Implement and optimize accounting software workflows (QuickBooks Online/Xero)
- Lead month-end closing processes and variance analysis
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks/Xero
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
- Proven expertise in financial statement preparation and reconciliation
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and payroll tax regulations
- Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas)
- Exceptional problem-solving and organizational abilities
- Professional certification (QB ProAdvisor, CPA, or EA) preferred
