Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 small to midsize businesses using QuickBooks Online
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and payroll accounts with 100% accuracy
- Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage vendor relationships
- Assist with sales tax filings and quarterly payroll tax returns
- Implement internal controls to prevent financial discrepancies
- Train junior bookkeepers on accounting best practices
- Collaborate with CPAs during annual audits
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
- QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor certification required
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, macros)
- Deep knowledge of California sales tax regulations
- Experience with multi-entity accounting structures
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation preferred
- Ability to manage deadlines across multiple client portfolios
