We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper to join our growing finance team in San Francisco. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing insightful financial reporting to support our executive leadership.

Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax returns in collaboration with external CPAs.
- Process payroll and manage employee expense reports accurately and on time.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Maintain and organize digital and physical financial documents and filing systems.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Xero, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with payroll processing (ADP or similar) and tax preparation software.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles.
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team setting.
