Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 small business clients using QuickBooks Online
- Prepare monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Process accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations with 100% accuracy
- Oversee payroll processing and tax filings for Florida-based clients
- Implement internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations
- Collaborate with CFO on financial analysis and budget forecasting
- Maintain organized digital financial records with audit-ready documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience with small businesses
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Deep understanding of Florida sales tax regulations and payroll requirements
- Proven track record of meeting month-end closing deadlines
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong written communication for client reporting and documentation
- Experience with Xero or other cloud accounting platforms a plus
