Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile bank statements
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage vendor relationships
- Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with audits
- Handle payroll processing and tax compliance
- Implement QuickBooks solutions for client efficiency
- Support month-end closing processes
- Train junior bookkeepers on financial best practices
Qualifications
- 5+ years of bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Pro
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Knowledge of GAAP and NM tax regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Professional certification (e.g., CB) preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
