Responsibilities
- Prepare and reconcile monthly financial statements for assigned client portfolios
- Assist with accounts payable/receivable processing and bank reconciliations
- Support tax preparation and compliance activities including sales tax filings
- Conduct internal audits and maintain accurate financial documentation
- Utilize QuickBooks and Excel for data analysis and report generation
- Collaborate with senior accountants on month-end closing procedures
- Participate in client meetings to present financial summaries
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution
- 0-2 years of accounting internship or entry-level experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and accounting software
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and tax regulations
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred but not required
- Valid Illinois driver's license for occasional client visits
