Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile monthly bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Prepare and file sales and use tax returns as required by state regulations.
- Assist with the annual audit process by providing requested documentation and schedules.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all financial records.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related financial role.
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic tax preparation principles.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
