Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for SME clients using Xero and QuickBooks
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations
- Process VAT returns and ensure HMRC compliance
- Assist with payroll processing and pension contributions
- Conduct financial audits and implement internal controls
- Collaborate with tax advisors for year-end procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years UK bookkeeping experience
- AAT Level 4 or equivalent qualification essential
- Advanced proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, and Excel
- Strong understanding of UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Proven ability to manage multiple client portfolios
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Relevant degree in accounting or finance preferred
