Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records using Xero and QuickBooks
- Prepare monthly management accounts and VAT returns
- Reconcile bank accounts and process payroll
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles
- Assist with year-end audits and tax compliance
- Generate financial performance reports for stakeholders
- Implement process improvements for efficiency
Qualifications
- ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent experience
- 5+ years' bookkeeping practice in UK SMEs
- Expertise in Xero, QuickBooks, and Excel
- Deep understanding of UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Proven track record of month-end closures
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
