Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping operations including accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and profit/loss reports
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations
- Implement and optimize accounting software systems (QuickBooks ProAdvisor preferred)
- Assist with audits and tax preparation documentation
- Oversee vendor relationships and expense management
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent professional certification (CPA/CMA preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with multi-entity accounts
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel
- Proven track record of month-end closing within deadlines
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication abilities for client/stakeholder interactions
- Familiarity with Texas sales tax regulations
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
