Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end revenue cycle operations including charge capture, claim submission, and payment posting
- Resolve complex billing discrepancies and insurance claim denials through strategic follow-up
- Conduct monthly audits of billing records to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Collaborate with clinical departments to verify coding accuracy (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)
- Develop and implement process improvements to reduce claim rejection rates
- Train junior staff on billing protocols and software systems
- Prepare monthly financial reports for leadership review
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with demonstrated revenue cycle expertise
- Proficiency in Epic, Cerner, or similar EHR billing modules
- CHB (Certified Healthcare Billing) or CPC (Certified Professional Coder) certification preferred
- Advanced knowledge of HIPAA, CMS, and third-party payer requirements
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong negotiation abilities for insurance claim resolution
- Experience with RCM analytics tools and KPI reporting
