Responsibilities
- Financial Record Maintenance: Accurately record and maintain financial data, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure all financial records are up-to-date and accurate.
- Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.
- Process Management: Oversee the accounts payable process, including invoice verification, coding, and payment processing to ensure timely vendor settlements.
- Compliance: Ensure all accounting activities comply with internal policies and relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced MS Excel functions to analyze data and generate reports.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an accounting clerk or junior accounting role.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP). Strong experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect discrepancies and errors in financial data.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with team members and external stakeholders.
