Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including GL maintenance, journal entries, and month-end close
- Prepare and analyze financial statements with emphasis on accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and tax filings
- Develop and implement financial controls to mitigate risks and optimize processes
- Collaborate with leadership on budget forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic financial initiatives
- Audit financial records and ensure adherence to GAAP and IRS regulations
- Mentor junior accounting staff and optimize departmental workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel functions
- Demonstrated success in month-end closes and financial reporting
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and prioritize competing tasks
- Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
