Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict compliance with GAAP standards.
- General Ledger Management: Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and timely.
- Reconciliation: Perform accurate and timely bank, credit card, and inter-company account reconciliations.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage the full cycle of A/P and A/R processes, including processing invoices and collections.
- Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Audit Support: Provide comprehensive documentation and support during internal and external audits.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to increase operational efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in general accounting or financial reporting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to analyze complex data and detect discrepancies with high precision.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams and management.
