Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our professional finance team in San Antonio, Texas. This is a direct hire opportunity offering a competitive salary structure and a reliable weekly pay schedule.
As a vital member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing daily transactions, and ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations. We value precision, integrity, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile monthly bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring all invoices are processed accurately and on time.
- Prepare and send monthly invoices to clients and maintain accurate client records.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss reports.
- Maintain and organize all financial documents, including tax records and receipts.
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure all tax filings are completed correctly.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures as directed by the Controller.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience as a Bookkeeper or Accountant.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and basic tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot discrepancies in financial data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
