Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Manage general ledger accounts and perform complex reconciliations for bank statements, credit cards, and intercompany accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns, ensuring timely and accurate filings.
- Conduct internal audits to identify discrepancies, mitigate financial risk, and implement corrective controls.
- Collaborate with the budgeting team to develop, monitor, and report on departmental budgets.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely vendor payments and accurate customer invoicing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong working knowledge of tax laws, financial regulations, and internal control procedures.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies in large datasets.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
