Your Role
As our Night Shift Accountant, you will be the backbone of our financial operations. You will ensure that all financial data is accurate, reconciled, and ready for the morning review. This is a pivotal role for someone who excels in autonomy and precision.
Responsibilities
- Execute the nightly closing process for general ledger accounts and financial statements.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and general ledger accounts to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Process high-volume journal entries and reconcile intercompany accounts.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports for leadership review.
- Assist with internal and external audits during the night cycle.
- Maintain strict adherence to internal controls and compliance regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
- 1-3 years of experience in general ledger accounting or bookkeeping (required).
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, or Microsoft Dynamics (required).
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Must be available to work 12-hour night shifts (e.g., 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM or 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
