Responsibilities
- Manage daily general ledger operations and ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Prepare complex financial statements and monthly/quarterly reports for management review.
- Perform bank reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Oversee the preparation and filing of federal, state, and District of Columbia tax returns.
- Assist in the coordination of annual external audits and internal control assessments.
- Support budget preparation, forecasting, and cost reduction initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong working knowledge of DC tax laws and local financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
