As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing strategic financial insights to leadership. Responsibilities
- Manage general ledger accounts and perform month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and budget forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal and financial requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and annual audits.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate with department heads to improve financial processes and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
