Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly/quarterly financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Manage general ledger operations, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable functions and cash flow management
- Develop and implement financial controls to minimize risk and ensure audit readiness
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Lead special projects including system implementations and process improvements
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems (NetSuite/SAP a plus)
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards
- Proven experience managing month-end closes and audits
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication abilities for stakeholder collaboration
