Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements on a monthly basis.
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly and timely.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
- Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with company policies and federal regulations.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely collections and payments.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop budgets and financial forecasts.
- Support tax preparation activities and coordinate with external auditors as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is a strong plus).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to present complex financial data clearly.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines in a high-volume environment.
