Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Manage general ledger accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate payments.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
- Supervise junior accounting staff and mentor team members on best practices.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex financial data.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
