Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare, analyze, and report monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Perform month-end and year-end close procedures, including journal entries and reconciliations of general ledger accounts.
- Assist in the annual audit process by providing requested documentation and supporting schedules.
- Manage the company's payroll processing and ensure tax filings are completed accurately and on time.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial reporting processes and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, with a strong preference for candidates in the logistics or supply chain industry.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or QuickBooks).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP accounting principles and federal tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and present it clearly to stakeholders.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
