Responsibilities
- Manage the full cycle of general ledger accounting, ensuring accuracy and timely closing of monthly and annual periods.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, variance reports, and operational dashboards for executive leadership.
- Oversee and reconcile high-volume bank accounts, credit card statements, and intercompany transactions.
- Lead the annual audit process, coordinating with external auditors and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance.
- Develop and maintain internal controls and financial policies to mitigate risk and enhance operational efficiency.
- Assist in budget preparation and long-term financial forecasting to support company growth objectives.
- Provide mentorship to junior accounting staff and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Master’s degree or CPA certification is a significant plus).
- Proven experience (3-5+ years) in corporate accounting, preferably within a mid-to-large-sized organization.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and accounting software (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite).
- Deep working knowledge of US GAAP and federal tax regulations.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data and present actionable insights.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
