Responsibilities
- Manage daily general ledger activities and ensure accurate financial recording.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including vendor relations and client billing.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and complex financial audits.
- Perform variance analysis and provide insights to management to drive business decisions.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly preferred.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting firm.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
