Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and timely.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review.
- Perform variance analysis to identify trends and recommend cost-saving measures.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to company policies and accounting standards.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budget preparation and forecasting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- CPA certification or equivalent professional designation is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite).
- Deep understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting financial findings to stakeholders.
