Responsibilities
- Manage the General Ledger: Accurately record daily financial transactions including sales, purchases, and payments.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, ensure timely payments, and manage collections to maintain healthy cash flow.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
- Payroll Support: Assist in the processing of payroll data and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Compliance: Maintain organized financial records and ensure compliance with tax laws and company policies.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups) and other financial software.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and maintain data integrity.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts.
