Responsibilities
- Manage and process daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Process payroll for employees accurately and on time using QuickBooks or ADP.
- Manage and maintain the general ledger system, ensuring proper coding and categorization of expenses.
- Assist with tax preparation filings and respond to inquiries from auditors or tax authorities.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related financial role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and errors.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
