Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Accurately record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly and weekly bank reconciliations to ensure all balances match and identify discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain financial statements, income statements, and balance sheets for client review.
- Payroll Processing: Assist with payroll calculations and tax filings to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Software Management: Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to maintain accurate digital records.
- Tax Preparation Support: Collaborate with tax professionals to gather necessary documentation and ensure timely filing.
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding financial inquiries and account status.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage Intacct is required.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; CPA certification is a plus.
- Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies in data.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
