Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Assist with the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations.
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance using QuickBooks and Excel.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve internal controls and accounting processes.
- Prepare budgets and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, tax laws, and financial reporting regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
