Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger accounting and the reconciliation of bank statements and credit card accounts.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns and ensure full compliance with tax regulations.
- Conduct internal audits to identify financial risks and recommend process improvements for cost reduction.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure timely payments and accurate revenue recognition.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop and monitor annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is highly preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a preference for candidates with remote or hybrid work experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong working knowledge of US tax laws, financial reporting standards, and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
