Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- Account Reconciliation: Conduct thorough reconciliation of bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial transactions comply with federal, state, and local regulations and tax laws.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement in accounting workflows and implement solutions to increase efficiency.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team, auditors, and other departments to support internal and external audits.
- Payroll Support: Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes, including payroll adjustments.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel (Advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), and ERP systems.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Integrity: High level of professional ethics and confidentiality.
