Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with annual tax preparations and complex financial audits.
- Process payroll and ensure all payroll tax filings are current.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel functions for data analysis.
- Collaborate with the finance team to optimize budgeting and forecasting processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting software.
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of US tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
