Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the full cycle of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing adjusting entries and reconciling balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance analysis, and management reports for executive leadership.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate revenue recognition.
- Assist with external audits and internal controls reviews to mitigate financial risk.
- Collaborate with the tax team to prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis, preferably within a remote or hybrid environment.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, Macros).
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a remote setting.
