Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close procedures
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance and regulatory adherence
- Conduct account reconciliations and variance analysis to identify financial discrepancies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling initiatives
- Implement and optimize accounting systems to enhance operational efficiency
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with remote work exposure
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Proven ability to manage complex financial projects with minimal supervision
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills for virtual client/stakeholder interactions
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and audits
