Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyse monthly/quarterly financial statements ensuring UK GAAP compliance
- Lead end-to-month-end closing processes including reconciliations and journal entries
- Develop financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
- Manage VAT returns and corporate tax compliance across UK jurisdictions
- Optimize financial processes using automation tools like Xero and QuickBooks
- Conduct internal audits and implement robust financial controls
- Mentor junior accountants and provide strategic financial insights to leadership
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent with 5+ years post-qualification experience
- Proven expertise in UK GAAP, IFRS, and HMRC regulations
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables) and cloud accounting platforms
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and financial reporting tools
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong remote collaboration capabilities using Slack, Teams, and Asana
- Ability to manage deadlines and projects independently in a virtual environment
