Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
- General Ledger Management: Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and credit card statements to ensure accuracy.
- Process Optimization: Review current accounting workflows and implement improvements for efficiency.
- Compliance & Audits: Assist in internal and external audits, ensuring all documentation is organized and compliant.
- Team Support: Collaborate with the finance team on budget preparation and variance analysis.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software to manage accounts payable and receivable effectively.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Certification: CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years of progressive experience in general accounting.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with QuickBooks or Sage.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Work Style: Self-motivated individual capable of working effectively in a remote or hybrid setting.
