Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Prepare complex financial statements, variance analyses, and budget reports for executive review.
- Lead accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely vendor and client payments.
- Assist in tax preparation, including federal, state, and local tax filings.
- Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits to ensure a smooth process.
- Streamline financial workflows using advanced Excel and accounting software.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA certification is highly desired.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliation, and budgeting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
