Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and timely.
- Compliance & Audits: Oversee internal controls and assist external auditors during year-end and quarterly reviews.
- Accounts Reconciliation: Perform daily reconciliation of bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany accounts to ensure data integrity.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in accounting workflows and implement automated solutions to streamline operations.
- Tax Preparation: Coordinate with external tax consultants to prepare and file corporate tax returns accurately.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Master’s degree (MBA) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or public accounting.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Certification: CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) certification is highly desirable.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of US GAAP, local tax regulations, and financial compliance laws.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
