Responsibilities
- Accounts Management: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Payroll Processing: Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing for a small team of 5-10 employees, including tax filings.
- AP & AR: Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including processing invoices, issuing checks, and collecting payments.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss reports for management review.
- Tax Preparation: Support the accounting team during tax season by gathering necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- General Ledger: Maintain the general ledger by recording daily transactions and updating account records.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero. Experience with Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) is required.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (or equivalent work experience).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in data entry and financial analysis.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial staff.
- Integrity: High level of confidentiality and ethical standards.
