Responsibilities
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial reports are accurate and delivered on time.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
- Assist with the preparation of tax filings and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to management to support strategic decision-making.
- Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or a related role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
