Responsibilities
- Oversee the full-cycle accounting process, including general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, providing strategic insights to management.
- Ensure accurate tax filings and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct internal audits to identify discrepancies and recommend process improvements.
- Manage fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules.
- Lead and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and error-free environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or a related role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of working cross-functionally with other departments.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
