Responsibilities
- Manage monthly bookkeeping processes for diverse small business clients
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheets)
- Process accounts payable/receivable with precision
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card transactions
- Assist with quarterly tax preparation and documentation
- Maintain organized digital financial records using QuickBooks Online
- Provide financial insights to clients during monthly reviews
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping/accounting experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid Michigan CPA license preferred (not required)
- Reliable transportation for occasional client meetings
