Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Month-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all journal entries and reconciliations are completed accurately and on time.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile general ledger accounts and perform detailed analysis of balance sheet items to identify variances and trends.
- Compliance & Audit: Assist in external audits and internal controls reviews, ensuring full compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and implement best practices for greater efficiency.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional departments to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial reporting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in all tasks.
