Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Assist in the annual external audit process and coordinate closely with external auditors to ensure compliance.
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to support senior management decision-making.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and data accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required; Master’s degree preferred.
- CPA certification (or CPA candidacy) is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and internal control procedures.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
