Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- General Ledger: Maintain accurate general ledger accounts, perform month-end and year-end close procedures, and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Compliance: Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements and tax regulations.
- Audit Support: Assist external auditors during annual audits by preparing necessary schedules, documentation, and explanations.
- Process Improvement: Streamline accounting workflows and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
- Payroll Administration: Oversee payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements and tax filings.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in general accounting, with a strong background in financial analysis.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to analyze complex data sets and ensure 100% accuracy in all financial records.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting financial data to stakeholders clearly.
