Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance commentary
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including AP/AR, payroll, and reconciliations
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes
- Develop and implement internal controls for financial compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budget forecasting and strategic planning
- Conduct audits and ensure adherence to GAAP and SOX requirements
- Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks and ERP systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sector
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and financial reporting tools
- Demonstrated expertise in month-end closing processes
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX, and tax regulations
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in remote work environments with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder reporting
