Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accurate processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, general ledger reports, and variance analysis.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis to resolve any discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of annual audits and support external auditors with documentation requests.
- Ensure strict compliance with all federal, state, and local financial regulations and internal controls.
- Perform budget preparation and assist management in financial forecasting.
- Oversee payroll processing to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, or similar accounting software is essential.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) are mandatory.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
